Lucknow: An alcoholic son assaulted his mother and also chopped off her tongue in Upazila's Mahoba district of Bundelkhand in UP. The father who came to the rescue was also beaten up. The woman was taken to a hospital where she lost her life and the police have already taken the accused's son into custody.
The case is being reported from village Basora under the Srinagar police station area of the district. Here Chandrabali and his wife Rampyari were always troubled by the deeds of their son Chandrashekhar. The accused, Chandrashekhar, always used to drink alcohol and start assaulting his parents. A few days ago, she assaulted his mother, due to which she was seriously injured and could not even get out of bed. Chandrashekhar asked him to cook food but was unable to work due to injuries. Enraged by this, Chandrashekhar started beating and strangulating her. But at that time, as if there was a spirit controlling Chandrashekhar, he also cut off the woman's tongue. He also hit his father Chandrabali hard to defend himself in the middle.
Somehow Chandrabali rescued his wife from Chandrashekhar and ran for the hospital. But as the condition was serious, she was sent to the district hospital, but from there the doctors referred her to Jhansi but on the way, the woman lost her life. Mahoba CO Sadar Ram Pravesh Rai said that the accused has been taken into custody by the police. The whole matter is being investigated.
