Lucknow: After a minor argument in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a wife killed her husband and buried the body in the room itself. On getting the information of the case, the police took out the dead body and sent it for postmortem. The accused woman is being interrogated in custody. This incident is of Surauli village under Bidhanu.
Here, Mathura Prasad's youngest son Umesh Yadav (35) used to drive a private ambulance at Hallet Hospital. He was married 12 years ago. Since then Umesh used to live separately in the village at some distance from home with his wife Monika, daughter Riya (10), and son Utkarsh (8). Mother Shiv Devi told that Umesh had come home on Tuesday evening and had asked for 100 rupees on Wednesday morning, he went to the market after taking the money. When Umesh's mother reached his house at 11 am on Thursday, the door was locked from the inside. Riya was playing on the terrace. He told that father had gone to Kanpur. But, on being suspicious, the mother called his fellow drivers, then it came to know that Umesh had not gone to duty since Tuesday.
When the mother knocked on the door again, Umesh's wife Monika shouted from inside that Umesh was at home. But, Monika did not open the door. On getting information about this, the police constables reached there, but even after many efforts the door did not open, then Bidhanu police were informed. When the police entered the house through the terrace, Monika had locked a room from the inside. When they pushed the door, Monika was sitting on the bed. When the bed was removed, more than half of Umesh's body was found buried inside the ground. When the police took out the dead body, the throat was strangled with a cloth.
Even after committing the murder, there was no remorse on Monika's face. After killing her husband, she cooked food. When both the children fell asleep, she dug a pit inside the room with a shovel at night and started burying the dead body. But, due to the smallness of the tool, the dead body could not be suppressed completely. It is being told that despite being against the family members, Umesh had a love marriage with Monika. He had fallen in love with Monika, a resident of Kaushambi's Satau Kathar, who was living in Nanihal while giving exams there.
Umesh used to have a fight with Monika every day. Daughter Riya has said that after bringing the vegetables, the mother started arguing with the father, on which the father slapped her. There was a fight again in the evening, then the mother dropped him and sat on his chest, and strangled him. After this, he said that if anyone asks then tell them that father has gone to the city.
