Lucknow: A young woman suffering from depression strangled her two infant children to death in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur. After receiving the information, the police of Kotwali police station reached the spot and took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. After this incident, sensation spread in the entire village. The case is of Tariari village under the Kerakat Kotwali police station area.  

According to the report, Manoj Pal of the village was married to Saroja Pal in Pariyayan of Line Bazar police station area 12 years ago. After ten years of marriage, they had twins. In which the boy was Tanvesh and the girl's name was Tanvi. Both were 11 months old. Manoj Pal worked as a private electrician in Mumbai. Two months ago, Manoj brought his 29-year-old wife Saroja home from Mumbai. On Friday, there was a Bhandara of Ganesh puja in the village, in which Manoj also went. Manoj stayed there at night. When he returned home at six in the morning on Saturday, the door was locked from the inside. Even when he knocked on the doors, there was no sound from inside. As soon as the possibility of an untoward incident, he opened the door with the help of his relatives and saw that Saroja was hanging and both the children were lying on the dead ground.

After getting information about the incident, there was panic in the surrounding villages. On receiving information in this regard, CO Gaurav Sharma, Police Station In-charge Inspector Sanjay Verma reached the spot and questioned the relatives and husband. The body has been sent for post-mortem. In the initial investigation, it has been found that the mother strangled the children to death and then hanged herself. The deceased's father-in-law Maniraj is in Mumbai, while the mother-in-law is at home here.
