Amroha: A case of rape of a minor from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh has come to light. The rape of the minor who had gone to fetch water from a government tap was reportedly carried out. The victim alleged that the youth from the neighborhood forcibly shut her mouth and dragged her into the bath of her house and raped her. Police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.

In a village under the Gajraula Police Station area, an industrial town in the Amroha district, a young man forcibly dragged a neighboring teenager into his house. After that, the teenager was raped. The victim reported the incident to her family members, then police have registered a case based on the minor's complaint. The accused is still out of police custody, the victim is undergoing medical treatment. Section 376 IPC and sections of the POCSO Act have registered the case. Police say the accused will be arrested soon.

Giving more details on the case, Amroha Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Pratap Singh said that the teenager had gone to fetch water from a government tap at 10.30 pm when a youth smothered her mouth and dragged to his bathroom and raped her.  A case of 376 IPC and POCSO Act has been registered in this regard and the accused is being sought.
