Lucknow: The wife of a businessman from Badaun in UP was lured away by some people, after which they did nothing when she complained to the police about it. The accused were constantly threatening the businessman. The businessman went into a coma and lost his life. A case of death of a businessman during treatment at Usawan in Badaun in the state has come to light. The family members of the deceased alleged that he was being mentally harassed.
The family members made a lot of ruckus after the death of the businessman. Even the postmortem of the dead body was not allowed. It was only when the police assured that the accused would be prosecuted, then the family members agreed. The whole case is of Ward No. 5 of Usawan police Station. The wife of the resident, the businessman was lured away by some people in the town 3 months ago. It is alleged that the businessmen used to threaten Ramanand and torture him. The businessman went to the police station several times with his family members, but no action was taken. The daughter of the deceased businessman has accused the police of accepting even Rs 15,000 in bribes, yet her father's complaint was not written.
The businessman was mentally disturbed, his mental condition deteriorated. He later went into a coma and died in Delhi during treatment. The family members have blamed the police station SO and police personnel for the entire incident. City SP Praveen Singh Chauhan, who arrived to explain to the agitated family members, said the businessman had died while undergoing treatment at a Delhi hospital. A case has been registered on the complaint of the family members. If the allegations are found to be true, action will be taken against the SO.
