Lucknow: In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a case of a lover pushing his girlfriend off the roof has come to light. The case pertains to Hoshiarpur village under the Sector-49 police station area, where a Dalit girl was killed by a friend of hers on Tuesday. According to the police, the accused was trying to flee to Bijnor with the girl's body in an ambulance, meanwhile, the police arrested the accused from near Meerut and recovered the body.

During interrogation, the police came to know that the deceased and the accused had a 7-year-old relationship and the girl was now trying to break her relationship with him. According to the police, angry with this, the accused carried out the crime. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Ashutosh Dwivedi has informed that 22-year-old Sheetal of Hoshiarpur village and Gaurav, a resident of Bijnor district, had a friendship for many years. He told that on Tuesday (November 8) afternoon, Gaurav pushed Sheetal from the roof of a building located in Hoshiarpur village. She was seriously injured in this incident. The officer informed that Gaurav took her in an auto rickshaw to a hospital in Greater Noida, from where he took her to a hospital in Lal Kuan, where she succumbed to her injuries. 

He has told that Gaurav told in the hospital that he is the brother of the girl and from there he was going to Bijnor district to put the body in an ambulance. Meanwhile, the police got information about the incident. Dwivedi said that Noida Police and Meerut Police caught the accused under a joint operation. He said that on the complaint of the brother of the deceased, a case has been registered under sections including murder.
