Durg: A shocking incident is coming to light from Durg in Chhattisgarh, where a loving couple committed suicide by hanging themselves. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The deceased man was married. At the same time, the girl was unmarried. The bodies of both were found hanging from the ceiling fan together.

On Tuesday, 36-year-old Afroz Khan, a resident of Kohka, stayed at Hotel Krish with his 31-year-old girlfriend Taapsee. Afroz had earlier stayed with his girlfriend in this hotel. On the day of the incident, he had taken a room on the third floor. The couple did not come out of the room for a long time on Wednesday. Thereafter, the hotel staff informed the manager. Thereafter, the staff, including the manager, knocked on the door. When there was no answer, the manager opened the door with the master key. When he looked inside the room, the bodies of the couple were swinging from the fan. Then the police were informed. On receiving the news of the suicide, Smriti Nagar police reached the spot and identified the bodies. After this, their family members were called.   

The same family said that Taapsee had earlier filed a case of rape and assault against Afroz at Supela police station. Afroz also went to jail in this case. He was recently released from jail. In this case, Durg SP Dr Abhishek Pallava said, "A loving couple has committed suicide in a hotel in the Smriti Nagar Chowki area. In 2021, the deceased girl filed a case of rape and assault on the deceased lover. The boyfriend had married another girl. The angry girl was constantly complaining to the police.'' It has come to light that there was a love affair between the two for the last 3-4 years. The lover used to visit the deceased girl repeatedly in the hotel even after marrying another woman. Somewhere, both of them have committed suicide by hanging themselves due to lack of talk in the love affair. The body has been sent for post-mortem. After the report comes, the inquiry will be done.
