Lucknow: A new example of corruption in road construction in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh has emerged, where the coconut that burst to start the road did not burst, but the road must have been broken from the place where coconuts were being boiled to inaugurate the road. Now the authorities are talking about investigating the entire road.
This is the story of corruption in the Bijnor district of the state, where the irrigation department was to build a 7 km long road on the canal track at a cost of Rs 11.6 crore. The road was constructed on the canal track towards Nawada Tulla village from the main intersection of Haldaur. Kadapur, Jhalpur, Uledha, and Hempur Deepa were to be connected with the help of this track. The road had just been constructed at 700 metres instead of 7 km when the department had called Sadar MLA Suchi Mausam Chaudhary to inaugurate the 700-metre road. Sadar MLA reached the spot with her husband Aishwarya Mausam Chaudhary at 4.00 pm last evening to start the road.
When coconut was given to them to break, as soon as the MLA tried to inaugurate the road by breaking the coconut on the road, the coconut did not break, but the road was definitely broken from that place and the gravel was uprooted there. It was scattered here and there. The MLA got angry on this matter and he postponed the program of opening the road.
