New Delhi: The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh is now gearing up to promote aviation training in the state. The Flying Club will also be built at the largest Jewar International Airport in Asia. The master plan of Jewar Airport has been extended to the Civil Aviation Ministry of the central government for investigation. It also includes training centres.

The UP government is going to change the policy of using government airstrips for aviation training programmes at the earliest. In addition to these training programmes, the runway will also be available for state aircraft and charter operations. Private institutions will have to develop infrastructure for training at their own expense, which they can use. The operation must be facilitated by regulatory entities and ensure compliance with their guidelines.

Private entities will also be able to use other resources available on the runway. In addition, the Flying Club had a provision of renewal for the initial 5 years and again 5-5 years to 30 years, which is now proposed to be a lump sum of 10 years. As per the infrastructure, night landing facility will also be provided. The Incentive Policy for Activities under the civil aviation department in Uttar Pradesh was formulated in 2007. Now, 13 years later, the government is formulating a new policy.
