Lucknow: A case of bullet death has come to light at Khattajamalkhan in Shahabad Kotwali area of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh when a newly wed girl was shot while taking a selfie with a gun. Police have seized the body and rushed it for postmortem. The deceased's father Rakesh Kumar has registered a case of torture and shooting against the deceased's husband Akash, her father-in-law Rajesh, mother-in-law Poonam and Jeth Umang for demanding Rs 2 lakh in dowry which has been initiated.

In fact, Akash Gupta, a resident of Khattajamalkhan, was married to Radhika, daughter of Rakesh Gupta, a resident of Annapurna Nagar in Madhoganj town, two months ago. Radhika was seriously injured when she was shot while taking a selfie with a gun in her in-laws at 2 pm. The family took him to community health centre Shahabad where doctors declared him brought dead. Radhika's bullet in her throat crossed.

Satendra Singh along with forensic team rushed to the spot after receiving information about the case and investigated. The gun and Radhika's mobile have been seized by the police. Radhika's parents have also reached the spot. In the case, the deceased's father Rakesh Kumar has registered a case of torture and shooting against the deceased's husband Akash, her father-in-law Rajesh and mother-in-law Poonam and Jeth Umang for demanding Rs 2 lakh in dowry. ASP said the incident is being reported while a husband and wife take a selfie with a gun. But a detailed inquiry and action is being taken into all the facts by registering an FIR in the case.
