Lucknow: A shocking case of jewellery continuously disappearing from the lockers of people at the Karachi Khana branch of the Central Bank in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh has come to light. The police are more surprised and upset to open the lockers in the bank. Within the last one month, jewellery worth lakhs has disappeared from the lockers of three women. While the key to the locker is with them. The investigation of the case has now been handed over to the SIT. Which will open and check all the lockers of the bank. It is feared that jewellery and money may also disappear from other lockers. In this case, the management branch manager  Ram Prasad and the locker in charge Shubham have been transferred. 

Jewellery worth Rs 35 lakh went missing from the locker of Shakuntala Poddar from the Karachi Khana Central Bank in Kanpur on Monday. Shakuntala Poddar's locker contained two cartons of jewellery. One of them was missing, while the other was empty. A police complaint has been lodged by Shakuntala. This is the third case in a month of jewellery disappearing from the locker in this bank. Earlier on March 14, Manju Bhattacharya, who returned from Kolkata, had complained of jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh missing from her locker.  In the second incident, Seema Gupta had lodged a case of jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh missing from her locker on April 1. 

Let us tell you that this central bank is located on Birhana Rod, a high profile area of ​​Kanpur, there is a stir among the customers who have taken lockers in the bank. At the same time, when other locker owners reached the bank to check their locker on Monday, their locker also did not open with the key, so they too are worried about the jewellery kept in their lockers. Due to this apprehension, the police have decided to get all the lockers checked by their owners. DCP Pramod Kumar says that a complaint has been received about missing Poddar ji's jewellery worth thirty lakhs. An investigation has been started by registering his FIR. This is the third incident.
