Lucknow: Thieves robbed the goods worth lakhs by breaking a lock in a jewelers shop in Ganj, Collector of Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday morning around 11 o'clock, when people saw the shop lock broken, they immediately informed the shop owner. Police, forensic team and dog squad of the police station reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.

According to the shop owner, the thieves first broke the locks of Shubham Gupta's Celebration Gallery Gift Shop and attempted to steal it by lifting shutters. After this, he broke the locks of the channel and the shutter inside his shop and entered the shop and cleaned the hands on the jewels of lakhs kept inside. The thieves also attempted to break the vault, but could not succeed.
