Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath government has once again extended the corona curfew by another week. An announcement in this regard has been made by the Yogi Adityanath government on Sunday. According to the new guidelines, all restrictions relating to the corona curfew will now remain in force till May 17.

Earlier, the corona curfew deadline was expiring on May 10 (Monday) morning. However, there will be no restriction on essential services. E-commerce supply including essential commodities, drug stores will continue. In fact, curfew has been in force in UP since April 30. Initially, it was supposed to remain in force as a weekend lockdown till May 3, but later the period was extended till May 6. Later, it was further expanded and tax was introduced till 10th May. Now, it has once again been extended till 17th May.

In Uttar Pradesh, 298 patients have lost their lives and 26,847 new cases were reported from corona infection on Saturday itself. A total of 15,170 people have died of corona in the State since last year, while a total of 14,80, 315 people have been infected so far. Now 12,19,409 infected people have been fully recovered in the State. At present, the number of active patients is 2,45,736.
