According to Inspector Akhilesh Mishra, Subhash Chandra Gautam, a resident of Ganeshkheda, was arrested near the bus station. The accused, Subhash, was at home on Monday night. His wife Lakshmi Devi did not make the food of his choice. There was a dispute between the two about this. Angry with his wife's reply, Subhash stabbed her with an axe. The victim's body was injured at several places. She was covered in blood and cried out for help. on which the neighbours came.
Fearing them, Subhash left the house and fled. According to Inspector Akhilesh Mishra, Laxmi has been admitted to CHC for treatment after the incident. A case has been registered against Subhash under the section of murderous assault and he has been arrested.
