BAREILLY: A married man supposedly stalking his "ex-girlfriend" was set on fire in the Bareilly district. The agonizing incident is from Uttar Pradesh. The victim identified as a resident of the Faridpur area in Bareilly.
The 26-year-old man set ablaze is admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition. China’s Commodities Binge Makes America’s Future More Expensive Police said the man used to stalk her and tried to enter her house when the incident took place. According to police officials, the girl had distanced from him after coming to know that he was married and also is the father of a one-year-old son. After she parted way, the man started stalking her. However, the girl told police that the man set himself afire after she refused to meet him.
In the meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR against the girl and her kin under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. Bareilly SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan said, “We were informed by a caller that the man had set himself afire. Immediately, a police team was sent to the village and the victim was rushed to a hospital." The officials further said that the incident took place outside the house of a 20-year-old girl, who is said to be his ex-girlfriend. Whereas man and his brother claim that he was set on fire by the girl’s father and brother. Police have been investigating the matter to verify every angle of the case.
