Lucknow: Some people discussing the ongoing burqa dispute in Karnataka were suddenly attacked by a mob of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. The national workers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were also injured in the attack. The incident took place at Purani Bazar in Kotdwar Mohalla of Ghatampur. The incident is said to have taken place on February 20 (Sunday). According to media reports, some people were discussing among themselves around 5 pm on the day of the incident.

Meanwhile, someone started debating the burqa controversy in Karnataka. Angered by this, Abrar Ahmed, Amir Hasan, Sameer Kainda, Shahabuddin along with about 20 people attacked RSS branch teacher Yashraj and RSS city pracharak Bhaskar Singh alias Manish. The mob of attackers included Guddu, Chhote, Zulfkar, Iftikhar, Itishyaq, Qasim, Saddam, Kamal Hassan, Shahid. The discussion was going on in front of Anup Singh's house. Iron rods and lathis were used for the attack. Sensing the fate of the attackers, the victims entered a shop to save themselves.

However, the Muslim mob did not leave behind them there either. It is being told that during this time, a gold chain and 35 thousand rupees lying in his pocket were also looted from the neck of the victim Bhaskar Singh. There is tension in the area after the incident. In view of this, a heavy police force has been deployed. The police have booked 10-12 unidentified accused including Abrar Ahmed, Chhote alias Amir Hasan, Sameer Kaida, Shahabuddin in the case.
