Moradabad: The Civil Lines Police of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh has arrested two, including the 'Looteri Dulhan' doing fraud in name of marriage. In the interrogation, both have admitted to cheating many people earlier. The police have invoiced both the accused. Raids are being conducted in search of other gang members.
The case has come up from Fakirpura in Civil Lines Kotwali area. Sunita's son living here was not getting married. Due to this, troubled Sunita asked her acquaintance Naresh Yadav, resident of Kazipura, Agwanpur, to find a girl to get her son married. At which Naresh spoke to his acquaintance Rihan, a resident of village Tumariya Kala of Delari police station area. Rihan got Naresh to meet Kundarki resident Hatisha.
When Sunita and her son liked the girl, Rihan demanded fifteen thousand rupees in the name of expenses. After taking the money, he fixed the wedding day. It is being told that Sunita reached the designated place with her son and Naresh Yadav on the scheduled day, but no one was found there. When contacted on the phone numbers of Rihan and Hatisha, their phones were switched off. On realizing the fraud, Naresh filed a case with the Civil Lines police station. Inspector Civil Lines said that on Wednesday, Rihan and Hatisha were arrested from a private hospital off Kanth Road. While gang members are being searched.
