Lucknow: A person named Mohammad Samad, who threatened to blow up Jama Masjid, has been arrested by the police late on Thursday (September 8). Let us tell you that on Wednesday morning, pamphlets were found sticking to blow up the fort Jama Masjid and shoot down the Imam of the mosque. According to the accused, accused Mohammad Samad was upset over not allowing the DJ to play in the Eidmiladunnabi procession. After being arrested, he confessed to his crime. This whole matter is of the fort police station area.

According to the report, on September 7, 2022, at six in the morning, a threat letter was found pasted on the wall of Jama Masjid of Thana Fort. On this pamphlet, it was written about the bombing of the mosque and the shooting of Imam Mufti Khurshid Alam. When the worshipers read this letter, panic spread among them. After this, a large crowd gathered near the mosque. On getting information about the matter, the police also reached the spot. In connection with this matter, after registering a case under relevant sections by the Police Station, the police arrested Mohammad Samad, son of Naseem Ahmed, resident of Qila Jama Masjid. Samad's age is about 25 years.

After coming into the police custody, Samad confessed to the local dignitaries that he had put up the said paper. Imam Mufti Khurshid Alam had asked not to play DJ in the procession on Eid Miladunnabi. Due to this displeasure, Samad got angry and pasted this threatening leaflet. Advance legal action is being taken by the police in the matter.
