Ghaziabad: Kavinagar police of Ghaziabad on Sunday arrested a miscreant after an encounter near RDC Gaur Mall, while his accomplice escaped from the spot. The captured crook was injured by a police bullet. He is admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to the police, the arrested miscreant shot and killed another man named Iqrar in 2007 and was absconding ever since. A reward of 25 thousand was declared on this crook.
Giving information about the case, SSP Sudhir Kumar Singh has told that Kavi Nagar Police was searching vehicles at Shastri Nagar intersection. Then the informant informed that two youths are coming from Diamond Flyover riding on a bike without number. One of them is accused of killing the soldier constable Iqrar. Shortly after, both the young men appeared on the bike without number. The police gestured to stop them, but both started running towards Ingram.
During this, the police also followed them and surrounded them in front of the mall. During this, the miscreants opened fire on the police. In response to this, the police also retaliated, in which Neetu resident Dehra Dhaulana was injured by Hapur bullet. After which the police arrested him. His partner escaped from the scene. The bike and the pistol have been recovered from the captured crook. The police are looking for his partner.
