Lucknow: The UP Police's Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday killed two sharp shooters in an encounter in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Investigations have revealed that he was related to Bahubali mafia Mukhtar Ansari. He worked with her 8 years ago. Recently, he was also associated with the gang of Munna Bajrangi.

Both the miscreants had killed the then deputy jailer Anil Kumar Tyagi of Benaras along with their colleagues in the year 2013. A reward of 50000 rupees was declared on both. They came to Prayagraj with the intention of killing a political person. The encounter of these miscreants with UP police took place in Arail area of Naini police station area when STF was conducting a search operation near Someshwar Nath Temple Tiraha. CO STF Navendu Singh said that he got information about two betel nut killers who worked for Mukhtar Ansari and Munna Bajrangi Gang. After this, both were put under blockade to nab them.

The officer said that when they found themselves trapped in the clutches of the police, both of them tried to run away and the police chased them to catch them. Meanwhile, both opened fire on the police. The police also opened fire in retaliation, in which both were injured. The police immediately rushed him to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. Police have found 30 and 9MM pistols, live cartridges and a bike from them.
