Lucknow: An imam of a mosque in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district has been accused of raping an 8-year-old minor girl. The name of the accused imam has been mentioned as Jamal Ahmad. The police have arrested the accused and sent the child for medical examination. The incident took place on Wednesday (January 26). According to media reports, the accused Imam is around 52 years old. He has been an Imam in the mosque of Kisni village for about 10 years. He taught Islam to the children of the village.

 

The victim also used to go to the same mosque with her younger sister to study. On the day of the incident, the child returned home late and her health did not seem to be good, so the family members asked her the reason, after which the child started crying. Blood was coming out of the victim's private parts. According to the family members, the girl told them that Zaman Ahmed stopped all the children in the name of teaching them by taking leave of all the children. His younger sister was also given peanuts and sent out. The accused then took the girl to a separate room and asked her to take off her clothes. The accused also took off his clothes. But during the poverty, when the blood started coming out and the child started crying, the accused silenced her by swearing by Allah and the Quran. He told her not to tell this to anyone and to come to read like every day.

 

The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital. The accused is a resident of Village Sudia Mau of Thana Ramnagar in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. On January 19 this month, a 10-year-old child was brutally raped in a madrasa in the Hardoi district of UP. In that incident, senior student Arbaaz was arrested.
