Lucknow: The names of Rohingya refugees in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh have been included in the voter list. Not only this, voter ID cards have also been issued to about 16 Rohingyas. When this matter came to the notice of the authorities, the investigation was started. In this whole case, the connivance of Gram Pradhan and Block Level Officer (BLO) is being charged.

The BLO of Moradabad is accused of colluding with the former chief to falsely cast 16 Rohingya youths as voters. The matter has been reported related to Rustampur Tigri Gram Panchayat of Bhagatpur Tanda in the district. It has been told that Rohingya are living here illegally after coming from Myanmar. Out of these, the names of 16 Rohingya youths have been included in the voter list. Not only this, their voter ID cards were also issued.

When this matter came to the notice of the authorities, investigation was started in the case. Accused BLO Prashant Kumar was suspended. At the same time, the authorities have started a thorough investigation in this matter. Let us share that getting the name registered in the voter list means that you have become a citizen of the country, but the Rohingya are living here in hiding. It has been told that they keep trying to get Indian citizenship, in which this time due to the bribery of a BLO, they also became successful. However, this matter came to the notice of the authorities in time, after which action has been started.
