Lucknow: The risk of an epidemic is increasing rapidly across the country. Uttar Pradesh's Yogi Adityanath government has ordered the closure of colleges and universities after schools up to the 8th standard in view of rising corona cases. Offline classes for UP-PG courses are banned in the state and only online studies are allowed to continue. The state government has taken this decision to curb the rising cases of the corona.

State that schools have been ordered to remain closed till January 14, while un universities have been closed till January 16. In the meantime, only online studies are allowed. Colleges and universities where examinations are going on are also allowed to conduct offline examinations. The order will apply to all government and private universities and colleges affiliated with them.

The exam dates of UP Board 10th, 12th have not yet been announced. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma has already stated that board examinations will be conducted after the assembly elections. Last year, board examinations were cancelled due to the corona epidemic. This year, as the exam time approaches, the pace of corona infection has picked up again. The state government is likely to take a decision on schools after January 14, and colleges after January 16.
