Lucknow: A shocking case has come to light from the Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Motiram, popularly known as 'Snackman' in the Mirganj area of the district, caught thousands of poisonous snakes all his life and saved lives, but when death came, he could not save himself. He died due to a snakebite. The incident took place when Motiram was catching a snake in a house.

In fact, on Tuesday (November 8), Motiram had gone to catch snakes in a house in Mohalla Teacher Colony of Mirganj. During this time, he caught the poisonous snake, but as soon as he started putting it in the bag, the snake bit him on his finger. Due to this, his condition started deteriorating immediately. Locals took him to the community health centre. The doctors referred him to the district hospital after first aid, but Snakeman died on the way.

For the past several years, Motiram was living on a Marhi in Mohalla Rajendra Nagar in Mirganj. He had been working to catch snakes for almost 20 years. He was about 60 years old. He was unmarried. Everyone used to call Motiram as Snackman. According to locals, Motiram used to catch snakes and leave them in the forest. When the snake reached someone's house, Motiram was called to catch it.
