Traffic rules changed due to Corona, citizens not allowed to roam unnecessarily

Lucknow: Due to the panic of Coronavirus, people are not allowed to roam on the roads in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow from today. Only two people will be allowed to travel in the car. One person will be on the driving seat of the car and the other will have to sit in the back. Strict action will be taken against those who ignore the rules.

The administration has issued instructions to the police that if someone is found to be roaming and travelling unnecessarily, then his/her car would be sealed. From today vehicles will not be able to run on the nearby roads. During the lockdown in Lucknow, the vehicles carrying the ration and transporting milk will be allowed to move only at the fixed hours. Heads of departments will issue the passes of vehicles related to each department. Pass of vehicles related to the mandi will be issued from the CMO office, near the Mandi Secretary, food carrying vehicles and SDM Administration and Health Department pass vehicles.

The pass has not been arranged for the general public. People will be able to get out on the streets only when there is a very important task. They also have to show proof of this. The Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Keshav Prasad Maurya has announced to give one month salary and one crore rupees from the MLA fund for dealing with the corona pandemic.
