Lucknow: Caste certificate from tehsils of Uttar Pradesh will now be issued in English language also. Because of this, the people in non-Hindi speaking states will get rid of the problems. Principal Secretary (Social Welfare) Manoj Singh has issued an order for this.
It has been said in the order that, to get the benefit of caste reservation in the services of other tehsils from outside the state or outside now, caste certificates should be issued in Hindi as well as English language to the applicants. Application for caste certificate will be presented by the applicant to the competent officer of the area where he was born or where he is permanently residing while applying. All the District Magistrates have been directed in this regard.
Giving information, Principal Secretary (Social Welfare) Manoj Singh has said that apart from the application, a certified oath will also have to be given by the Gazetted Officer. In this, the candidate will have the details related to the class or part residence, etc. of the caste-sub-caste tribal community.
On the basis of this, competent officials from the tehsil level will do on-site verification of the information related to the applicant. Based on the report, caste certificate written in English on the prescribed proforma along with Hindi will also be issued from the tehsil on the demand of the applicant.
