Dehradun: The party has issued a notice to a BJP MLA of Uttarakhand for allegedly giving controversial statement against Muslims. According to reports, an alleged video of BJP MLA Rajkumar Thukral from Rudrapur in Uttarakhand went viral on Saturday, in which he is seen making a controversial remark against Muslims. In this video, the MLA is seen saying that he do not need the support of Muslims. After this, the party issued a notice to him and sought clarification.
According to reports, in the video, MLA Rajkumar Thukral addresses people in his constituency, saying that he does not need the support of Muslims. Thukral said that he does not bow his head in front of any Muslim or mosque. The MLA also said that he does not visit any Muslim's house for Rosa Iftar. In the video, Thukral described Muslims as 'traitors'. Apart from this, he has spoken many more controversial things in the video.
Distancing himself from Thukral's remarks, BJP state unit president Ajay Bhatt issued a statement describing his views as personal and said the party had nothing to do with it. He said that 'BJP's faith is on' Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay '.' On the directive of Bhatt, State BJP General Secretary Anil Goyal issued notice to Thukral seeking clarification about his conduct.
