In fact, recently, he has made a statement about the ration being given which is being criticised everywhere. During a function held on the International Forest Day at Ramnagar yesterday, CM Rawat was referring to the ration being distributed by the government during the lockdown. In the meantime, he said, "people were also jealous about the ration in the lockdown. People were saying that two members were given 10 kilos while a family of 20 members was given one quintal of ration. Talking further, he said, "Who is wrong now. What is the need to irritate? When it was time, why did you not produce 20 children who produced two children? More children would have benefited more.''

Now, after making a disputed statement on the torn jeans, he has once again been badly trapped by giving this statement. His statement on ration is now going on in discussions. Within a week of joining the office, he has been in the limelight with his statements. In the past, he objected to the girls wearing jeans. During that, he said that girls should not wear jeans. After his statement, his wife came forward to defend him and said, "His statement was wrongly interpreted."
