Bhopal: BJP leader Uma Bharti has given a statement on Sunday. In his statement, he said, 'The tragedy caused by the breaking of the glacier is a matter of concern as well as a warning'. Apart from this, he has also said that, as a minister, she was against building hydropower projects on the Ganga and its main tributaries. You must have known that Uma was the first NDA Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation of Bharat NDA. On Sunday, he had a tweet. Through this tweet, he had said, 'The glacier shattering has damaged the hydroelectric project and caused a terrible tragedy. In the Himalayan sage Ganga, there is a warning along with hai or tragedy being a concern.'



You can see that in his tweet, he wrote, 'In this regard, in my affidavit from my ministry about the dams of Himalayan Uttarakhand, it was requested that the Himalayas are a very sensitive place, so Ganga and her main tributary Hydropower projects should not be built on rivers.' At the same time, he went on to say, "With that decision, the shortfall in the power supply could be bridged by the national grid."


Uma Bharti also says that she was in Uttarkashi on Saturday and now she is in Haridwar. Now talk about the breaking of the glacier, due to the rupture of the Nanda Devi glacier in Joshimath in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, the Dhauli Ganga river has been flooded which everyone is worried about.
