Dehradun: The weather pattern is changing in Uttarakhand. In many areas of the state including the capital Dehradun, the rain since late Friday stopped on Saturday morning. At the same time, all the cities of Kumaon are cloudy. On the far side, the weather remains pleasant in Garhwal even after the rains. At the same time, according to meteorologists, most of the temperatures can remain around 34 degrees even on Saturday. In the next 24 hours, cities like Dehradun, Nainital, Almora, Champawat are likely to receive maximum rainfall at isolated places. 

In the same Dehradun and surrounding areas, residents had to face a lot of heat due to the maximum temperature reaching 34.6 degrees on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, most of the temperatures recorded an increase of four degrees above normal. The day began with a scorching sun, although it was cloudy for some time, as the day progressed, the clouds dissipated and people had to face the dangerous heat. The temperature had dropped below 30 degrees due to heavy rain in the past.

Along with this, due to the erosion of Alaknanda and Gadre in Chamoli, Devlibagad, and Sonala villages are in trouble. The situation is that the villagers are forced to leave their homes due to heavy rains. Affected people say that many times the collector was asked to do flood protection work on behalf of Alaknanda and Gadere, but this is not being taken care of. About 50 SC-ST families live in Sonla village on Badrinath Highway. For the past few days, landslides have been happening over the houses.
