Dehradun: The fury of increasing cold in the country today is becoming a problem for anyone, whereas recently, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain, snowfall and hail storm across the state on January 13. Fog, frost and snowfall will continue across the state in the next week also. The weather remained dry throughout the state on Saturday. In some places in the plains, there was dense fog in the morning. The sun came out in the capital in the morning amid partial clouds.

Light rain and snowfall may occur at some places, especially Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. He informed that hail alert has been issued on January 13 in Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Pauri and Nainital along with rain. Apart from this, snowfall alert has been issued in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Chamoli with a height of more than 3000 meters.
Roadways closed, tourists reaching Auli from the ropeway: The Meteorological Department says that as the weather is normal, the tourist destination Auli has again become buzzing with domestic and foreign tourists. Throughout the day, tourists are skiing in the snow on the slopes of Auli and visiting the snow-logged snowy plains. Due to the closure of Joshimath-Auli route after heavy snowfall, tourists are reaching Auli from ropeway here. After three days of bad weather, the weather is clear and the tourist movement in Auli has increased. At this time, there is four to five feet of snow in Auli. After opening the route to the mudband, some tourists are reaching here by vehicle and from there they are reaching Auli on foot, enjoying in the snow.
