Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. The actor’s Uunchai has recently hit the theatre screen. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan the movie also stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani. Uunchai earned Rs 1.81 crore on its opening day. According to a Box office reports, the film saw an increase in its box office collection as it minted a whopping Rs 10.50 crore in just three days. On Day 5, it picked up pace again as it collected a total earning of Rs 13.84 crore. On Day 6, November 16, the film added another Rs 1.70 crore to its collection, hence, taking the total to Rs 15.50 crore. Meanwhile, Uunchai had an overall 15.38 per cent Hindi occupancy on Day 6.

Amitabh Bachchan in a recent interview opens up about the Film Uunchai and said, "I have worked with them (Rajshri Productions)before. Jaya and Abhishek too have worked with them and they would heap praises on them. And, whatever they said turned out to be true. At this age, there are very few opportunities for us. I am thankful to Rajshri Productions and my co-actors."

Speaking about the film, Uunchai stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, and Sarika in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Sooraj Barjatya under Rajshri Productions. The filmmaker, who is known for directing films such as Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Hum Saath Saath Hain etc, has returned to the director’s chair after seven years with this film.
