New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation on December 25, 2021, on the new variant of Corona, Omicron. In his address, Prime Minister Modi announced a vaccine drive for 15 to 18-year-olds. He said that we need to be careful in such a situation that the cases of omicron are increasing at a rapid pace.

Speaking on the occasion of the same Christmas, Prime Minister Modi said that immunization will now begin in the country for children between the ages of 15 and 18. It will be launched from 3rd January next year. After vaccination, all students going to schools and colleges will get protection against corona. Immunization of children in the age group of 15 to 18 years will enable students of the 10th-12th standard to appear for the examination in a carefree manner.

Prime Minister Modi also said that pre-section doses of vaccine will also be given to healthcare and frontline workers. It will be launched from 10th January next year. The PM said health care workers and frontline workers have kept the country safe. Their dedication is unmatched. They are still assisting corona patients. Healthcare and frontline workers will be given Precaution Dose from 10th January 2022. In his speech, the PM said that don't spread rumours and fake news. You have to be careful to avoid omicrons. We have launched the biggest vaccination campaign and we want to work to make it even better. We have to strengthen the country against corona. India started giving vaccines to its citizens from 16th January this year. It is the collective effort and collective will of all the citizens of the country that today India has crossed the unprecedented and very difficult target of 1.41 crore vaccine doses.
