The effect of the first dose of the anti covid-19 vaccine on seropositive people begins to appear within a week. In a study conducted on 135 people, it was found that among those who were seropositive, the level of antibodies had increased even more than 7 days after the vaccination. Seropositive people are those who have been infected with covid-19 at some time and are more likely to have antibodies in them.

It has been learned that this study was done by the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB) and Max Hospital of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The study found that antibody levels began to rise exceptionally even faster than 7 days after the first dose of the vaccine in seropositive people. However, in seronegative people, there has been an increase in the level of antibodies after 14 days of the first dose of the vaccine.

IGIB scientist Shantanu Sengupta said the study was started in late January at branches of Max Hospital in Saket, Gurugram, and Shalimar Bagh. He stated that seropositivity acts like a booster dose.
