Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has a massive fan following in the Tollywood industry. Pawan Kalyan made a return to the silver screen after taking a long sabbatical to pursue his political objectives.  Pawan Kalyan declared his first movie after the break with director Venu Sriram titled Vakeel Saab and the movie will be a remake of the popular Bollywood movie Pink. Director Venu Sriram recently opened up about working with Pawan Kalyan to a television channel and said, “It was a fanboy moment coming true for me with Vakeel Saab.  From being a huge fan of Pawan Kalyan to direct my favorite hero, Vakeel Saab is a dream come true for me (sic.)”

Speaking about the Telugu remake of Bollywood movie Pink as Vakeel Saab, the director said, “We have made minor changes to the script keeping all the limitations as it is a social drama.  We cannot churn the film into an out and out commercial drama.  Vakeel Saab is an honest remake and will leave Pawan’s fans in delight.  Vakeel Saab is respect for every woman.  The film will have five songs and the final copy of the film will be ready by December.  Like everyone, I am also eagerly waiting for the film’s release (sic.)”

Recently, the motion poster of the film was released and it showed Pawan Kalyan in his lawyer’s robes holding a book on criminal law while holding a baseball bat in his other hand with a background chorus of Satyamev Jayathe. Vakeel Saab is being produced by Dil Raju, Boney Kapoor and stars Anjali, Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj and Naresh in important supporting roles.
