Vallarpadam Island is one among the group of the islands that was form part of the Kochi, Kerala. It is situated at the Vembanad Lake which is locally known as the Kochi Lake. Vallarpadam is connected by the Goshree bridges with the city of Ernakulam and Vypin Island. 70% of the island consists of paddy fields; the economy principally consisting of fishing by traditional methods and cultivation of rice.

Vallarpadam is an island located west of Bolghatty Island in Ernakulam District. The Goshree bridges connect Vallarpadam and Vypeen with the mainland at Ernakulum. The town is mostly famous for the Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom, known as the Vallarpadam Church.
