Malayalam's noted Dulare Salman's lighthearted comedy entertainer 'Varan Avshyamund' has entered the club of Rs 25 crore within three weeks of its release. Directed by Anoop Satyam, son of Varanasthyan Anthikkad, the film was released on 7 February. The film stars Dulare Salman, Suresh Gopi, Shobhana and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. The film marked the reunion of Suresh Gopi and Shobhna after a gap of 14 years. Also known for his best performances in the 1990s, he was last seen in the 2005 film 'Makkalu'.

Varen Avashyamund 'Varan Avshyamund' marked the Bollywood debut of Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of veteran director Priyadarshan. Coming technically, Mukesh Muralitharan cranked the lens and Toby John took care of the editing department. Alphonse Joseph composed the music for the film.
