In the controversial Hindi feature film, Jigyaasa, directed by Faisal Saif, she played Harshita Bhatt's mother. Usgaonkar started her television career in 1988 in the role of Uttara, Abhimanyu's wife and Parikshit's mother (the future of the Bharat Dynasty TV serial Mahabharata).
