Varun recently told IANS, "I've come across stories of solo films, though I want to do films that are different. If you talk about the different-style comedy in films today, ordinary comedy can't work. That's because people will easily get to watch that comedy for free through other platforms. There is a lot of competition now and so now the comedy of films should be out of touch and heart-warming," he said.

The actor further said, "If you're not showing anything different, why would viewers pay rs to watch your film? That's where I'll do a solo movie when there's some madness in it. I want to do a movie like Jolly LLB."
