It is said that in the house where there is misuse of water, there is always a lack of money, not only this, but there Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, does not stay there. Let us tell all of you that we are not only saying this thing, but this is also said in Vastu Shastra. 

1. According to Vastu Shastra, the house where the water drains is wasted. There is always a lack of money in that house. With this, the sound of water dripping from the tap also affects the aura of that house.

2. According to Skandpuran- मलं मूत्रं पुरीषं च श्लेश्म: निष्ठीनाश्रु च. गण्डूषाश्चैव मुञ्चन्ति ये ते ब्रह्ममहणै: समा It means that the people who waste feces, urine, spit, rinse or throw garbage in the water of a river, pond or well, they feel the sin of bravery. Also, such people never prosper.

3. निशायां चैव न स्नाचात्सन्ध्यायां ग्रहणं विना This means that one should not bathe at night. It is advisable to bathe at night only on the day of eclipse. Taking a bath at night is like misusing water. Whoever misuses water, there is always a lack of money in his house.

4. In the Shrimad Bhagwat, there is an incident when the gopis are bathing nakedly in the Yamuna, then Shri Krishna says  यूयं विवस्त्रा यदपो धृतव्रता व्यगाहतैत्तदु देवहेलनम्. बद्ध्वाञ्जलिं मूध्न्र्यपनुत्तयेंहस: कृत्वा नमोधो वसनं प्रगृह्यताम्..
This means that Shri Krishna told his beloved gopis that you bathed nakedly in the river Yamuna, because it insulted both the Gods of Water, Varun and Yamunaji, so with both hands folded and ask for forgiveness from them. Let us tell everyone that God teaches from this context that wherever the water is stored, the owner of that place is Varuna Deity. By dirtying or polluting him, the god of water is insulted and such people always live for lack of money.
