Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has already become active about the proposed assembly elections in Rajasthan next year. She has been holding frequent meetings with BJP leaders loyal to her and has claimed that the BJP will win over 163 of the 200 seats in the elections next year. In preparation for this, she visited Bikaner and Churu, which was not a program announced by the party. She visited several temples during this period and described her visit as a personal visit.

According to reports, Vasundhara's public meetings in Bikaner and Churu drew huge crowds of supporters. With her show of strength here, she has given a message to the high command sitting in Delhi that she is standing firmly in the race for the post of Chief Minister. In fact, there is a tug of war in the BJP over the claim for the CM's post. Among them, Hanuman Beniwal's name is also included in the race. Some time ago, he had said about the chief ministerial candidature, 'There cannot be a procession without a groom. In the BJP, 10-12 grooms are sitting and one robber bride is sitting.'

The BJP's state unit is divided into several factions and many leaders are eyeing the chief minister's post. In the last few years, reports of a rift between factions loyal to Raje and supporters of Gujarat BJP unit president Satish Poonia have further exposed the BJP's infighting in the state. Raje has not turned up at several party events since Poonia became the state president in 2019. At the same time, Poonia has expelled Raje supporters like Rohitash Sharma from the party on charges of indiscipline.
