On Android, the update process for devices is slightly less straightforward than on iOS. Look at iOS, once the update rolls out, all the eligible devices receive the update at the same time. Currently, on Android, when an OEM issues an update for a given device, unlocked Versions often set this update first, then carrier versions later suit, sometimes up to a month after the unlocked variant.
