Actor Om Prakash, who won everyone's heart with his acting in Bollywood, died on 21 February. He left the world on February 21, 1998, at the age of 80. He died of a heart attack. By the way, Om Prakash was an actor without whom old-time films were considered incomplete. He was seen showing his strong style in every second-third film. Om Prakash was born on December 19, 1919, in Lahore (now Pakistan), India before partition. Very few people know that his full name was Om Prakash Bakshi.

At that time, Om Prakash's father was a rich farmer who owned several acres of land. Not only this, he also had many big bungalows in areas like Lahore and Jammu. Talking about Om, he only wanted to act. He was crazy for acting since childhood. In early times he used to participate in Ram Leela. Om's first act on the stage was in Ram Leela, in which his character was 'Sita'. In the year 1937, he joined All India Radio as an RJ, where he used to get 25 rupees salary every month. His radio show was quite popular in Lahore and Punjab. By the way, Om started his film career in the year 1942.

He did an excellent job as a supporting actor. He was also given several awards for this. Om Prakash received only 80 rupees for his first film. His first film was Silent, in which he played a very small character. You all gave Om ‘Sharabi’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Namak Halal’, ‘Alaap’, ‘Parwana’, ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’, ‘Chupke-Chupke’, ‘Chameli Ki Shaadi’, ‘Sadhu Aur Sant’ , 'Tere Ghar Ke Saamne', 'Lofar', 'Padosan', 'Howrah Bridge', 'Ghar-Ghar Ki Kahani', 'Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam' and' Amar Prem.'
