He said that in the last 20 years, India has made a lot of development in the field of science and technology, but there are still many challenges before us.
Infosys founder Narayana Murthy has questioned the quality of India's higher education, saying not a single educational institution in India features in the World Global Rankings 2022. He said that even we have to depend on technology or research from another developed country for vaccine manufacturing. We have still not been able to find a vaccine for diseases like dengue and chikungunya, which we have been battling for the last 70 years. N R Narayana Murthy, a trustee of Infosys Science Foundation, said money is not the first requirement for the success of any invention or discovery. If this were the case, the countries of Eastern Europe would not have been successful in the field of mathematics. Narayana Murthy said that two things are important for success in research. First- Our school and college education should be related to the current problems of the world. Second- For success, it is necessary that our researchers should be able to solve the problems of the present as soon as possible.
