Veteran actor and filmmaker Lalit Behl have passed away. According to media reports, Lalit's son Kanu Bahl said he was facing problems related to coronavirus. Lalit Behl, 71, was found to be covid positive last week and was taken to Apollo Hospital for treatment.

He had a lung infection which started growing rapidly. At the same time, his old diseases had a great impact on his health. He was suffering from heart-related diseases and then contracted a Covid-19 infection. According to media reports, Lalit, a well-known theatre artist, started his career as a director and producer where he made shows like Tapish, Atish, Golden Binding for Doordarshan Telefilms. At the same time, he acted as an actor in the TV show 'Afsane'.

Adil Hussain, who worked with him at Mukti Bhawan, took to Twitter to pay his respects and condole the loss of lives. He wrote, "Deeply saddened by the news of the passing away of my co-actor and respected artist. He played the father brilliantly in Mukti Bhawan! Dear Kanu, I am very distressed about this loss".
