The famous actress of Bollywood and Marathi films Ashalata Wabgaonkar has passed away. He breathed his last at Manglaver at Satara Hospital in Mumbai at around 4.45 am. Ashalata Wabgaonkar was 83 years old. She was found infected with the coronavirus in the past. She was then admitted to Satara Hospital.

Ashalata Wabgaonkar was one of the known actresses of Marathi and Hindi movies. She had an indelible mark on the big screen with her brilliant performance in many films. She was born on 2 July 1941 in Goa. Ashalata Wabgaonkar acted in more than 100 Hindi and Marathi films. She has also performed songs for Marathi movies.

Ashalata Wabgaonkar also has many great Hindi movies. Her first Bollywood movie was 'Zanjeer'. In these movies, Ashalata Wabgaonkar acted as Amitabh Bachchan's stepmother. The film was released in the year 1973. On the other hand, Ashalata Wabgaonkar got her real identity in Bollywood from Basu Chatterjee's movie Apne Paraye. She won the Filmfare Award for this movie. Ashalata Wabgaonkar has also acted in many great movies including Ankush, Apne Paraye, Ahista Ahista, Shaukin, Woh 7 Din, Namak Halal and Yaadon Ki Kasam.
