New Delhi: Famous Marathi actress and theater actor Lallan Sarang passed away at a private hospital on Friday at the age of 79.
According to sources, she was admitted to the hospital almost a month ago. she had some old age-related diseases. Sarang was born on December 26, 1938 in a middle class family in Mumbai. None of her family was related to cinema or theater.
She started working in theater in Mumbai since college days. There she participated in a drama competition. Sarang is known for his influential role in many famous plays including 'Sakharam Binder', 'Gidhar', 'Rathchakra' and 'Kamala'. Apart from this, she had played important roles in films such as 'Samna', 'Ha Khela Shawlayancha' and 'Mehak', she had also worked in many Hindi serials. He also wrote some books Her husband Devi Kamalakar Sarang was a famous theater director.
Family sources told that their funeral will be done on Saturday in Mumbai.
