After achieving critical and commercial success as V Vada Chennai 'and Aring Asuran', Vettimaran was backstage shooting for two films, one of which had two films featuring Soori in the lead and the next one on 'Vadadi Vaital' Was based with Suriya as the protagonist. Apart from the above, the acclaimed director is also writing the story and producing a female-centric film with Andrea Jeremiah and Lavalin Chandrasekhar in the lead roles.
There have been many changes since the start of the Vetrimaran - Sori project as it was first planned to adapt the late Patthapachi Virpavan of Muthukumar and later opted for Meeran Moideen's novel 'Ajnabee'. The story covered many foreign locations in Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but the coronovirus epidemic has reduced any air travel for the next few months.
Reliable sources state that waitress and producer Allred Kumar is determined to make a film with Sori as the protagonist and has decided to go for a new story and discussions have started. It will be known whether it is based on a novel or other literary work or an original screenplay in a few weeks' time.
