The Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 on Tuesday Sep 29,the vice president secretariat tweeted.

VP, 71 years old, is in good health and asymptomatic. It is said, The Vice-president of India who underwent a routine COVID-19 test today morning has tested positive. He has been advised home quarantine. His wife Smt. Usha Naidu tested negative and is in self-isolation.

Mr Naidu, chairman of Rajya Sabha recently attended the monsoon session of the parliament, the session was closed aheaded of its designated date October 1 as more than 25 members tested positive for the deadly virus.

Both houses of parliament were adjourned indefinitely on September 23, instead of continuing till designated date of October 1.
