In the interview, Vicky Kaushal described the role of India's First Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw as the greatest honor to be shown on the screen. Vicky said that the opportunity to play the role of Field Marshal Manekshaw is an honor for me. I am very excited for this movie. At the moment I am focusing on the shooting of Sardar Udham Singh. We'll start shooting in 2021 for the biopic of First Field Marshall. I'll try to get as close to the character as possible in terms of looks.

Earlier, Manekshaw was the Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. From where he was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and became India's first field marshal.
